Personal finance is rarely part of formal education in many countries, though in developed countries there are programs that help students in this, how much it is successful is still debatable, do people retain the knowledge that they learned is a question. We learn from our parents, our peers, our friends and come from experience by learning from our mistakes and ultimately how we deal with money is an attitude and even after knowing about do’s and don’t we often make mistakes.

I have been doing my master's in computer science from Georgia Tech and in the current semester have been tasked to contribute to the field of education technology. I was looking for something meaningful to do and in which I personally feel invested, and this area of financial literacy and personal finance is what kept on coming to my mind again and again.

So I decided to build an app that will present some basic financial literacy topics in a gamified manner. To do so, I will be facing certain challenges that I aim to document and blog about here and track my journey to build an app that teaches financial literacy.

P.S. I know many apps are present in this space, I have researched on them, So just trying to build something like what I have in my mind and hopefully, it may come out better.
